The growth of AI, scientific data and digital government are creating an unprecedented need for storage technologies that are both economically sustainable and built for long retention periods. Folio Photonics’ multilayer optical media is designed to dramatically increase archival density while reducing energy consumption and long-term storage costs. This partnership brings that innovation into a complete preservation architecture that can help organizations protect their most valuable digital assets for generations.

Folio Photonics is developing an optical data storage disc with a two-terabyte capacity manufactured using a highly scalable, low-cost method. It also redefines archival data storage with its modern optical solution. Their patented solution, the data film disc, is disruptive in cost, capacity, and archival lifetime. The company also develops optical data storage discs and systems.
